Flexible New Deal (known as FND) is the Department for Work and Pensions new initiative designed to help long-term unemployed jobseekers move from benefits and into work. Serco is the prime contractor for the Greater Manchester area. We at the International Learning Centre are working with Serco as a subcontractor to help deliver Step 2 of their delivery model.

Confused …don’t be!

All jobseeker allowance claimants reaching 12 months of unemployment are referred to an FND provider for a mandatory year-long programme of flexible, supported job search and job preparation. Upon gaining employment they will receive ongoing support to help them retain and make the most of this opportunity.
